To all of my friends who celebrate Hanukkah these days:
may your days would always be filled with endless warmth and light,
may your inner dreidel keep spinning
..and always give you the value of ג.
but remember also of the ש/פ,
..and thus continue contributing with your deeds
so we can all together make this give&get life-game a better world!
to you and your families and friends! 🙂

Did you know that world’s first computer programmer was a woman? She has her birthday today! 🙂
December 10, 197th birthday of Ada Lovelace (Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace, the only legitimate child of Lord Byron). cheers not just to her but to all women who are programmers today! let’s go girls!
I would like to cordially invite you to my lecture „Oswajanie pałacu. Jak zmieniał się gmach Zachęty?”
date: Monday, 3.12.2012
place: Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw, Poland
[lecture in polish language with simmultanous translation into polish sign language]
* in english: I will be telling the story of the building: how was Zachęta functioning and how many temporary venues it had until it had built own palace? how this palace was being built: architecture competitions and history of already built building, about the war times, after-war changes (those implemented and un-implemented) until the last renovation. And the story would be accompanied by many illustrations..
The lecture is part of the 2nd Open Day in Zachęta.
