Julia Maria Koszewska, PhD (DocSocSci):
Professionally, I am a sociologist, librarian, and information specialist, deeply committed to human rights advocacy. My expertise spans digital rights, open culture, freedom of religion and belief, and digital democracy. In addition to holding a PhD in sociology, I bring extensive experience as a trainer, Wikipedian, GLAM activist, museum practitioner, and film producer.
I am actively engaged in interreligious and ecumenical dialogue in Europe and Poland.
By education and profession, I am a librarian with a specialization in information science and the management of knowledge and information. As a sociologist, my focus includes politics of memory, museum studies, and performativity. I am also a genealogist with a specialization in the genealogy of Polish Jews.
Since October 2017, I have been working for OSCE/ODIHR as a Senior Library Assistant. Previously, I served as a Specialist Art Librarian at Zachęta – National Art Gallery.
I am from – and live in – Warsaw, Poland.
